Urine Testing – Non-DOT and DOT
Urine testing, one of the most common screening methods, is an accurate and reliable way to detect casual drug use that occurred within the past 72 hours. We offer both non-regulated (non-DOT) and regulated (DOT) drug tests. Although widely used for pre-employment screening, since detection in a urine test is relatively short, it is also a perfect solution for post-accident, random or reasonable suspicion drug tests.
Our default drug screen is a 12 panel test, but other types of panels are also available, including healthcare panels. In addition to screening the urine for drugs, Quest Diagnostics also screens for any adulterants present in the specimen due to donor contamination.
If the initial drug screen detects the possible presence of one of the relevant drugs, a GC/MS confirmation test is automatically performed at no charge to the client. Negative drug results are typically returned within 24 hours. Positive confirmations may take an additional 24 hours.
